Shopping for the ayervedic medicines prescribed by specialists in Kerala brought me to the conclusion that ayervedic herbs mixed as medicines aren't allowed into the U.S. and get confiscated at the airport. So, I'll have to order them online and have someone bring or send them over by mail. We had breakfast at Ratna and Dinesh's, and Ratna gave me some hints on how she keeps her blood sugar down with herbs. I'm going to try to get my blood sugar down, then slowly lower my western meds and increase the ayervedic/herbal medicines. Wish me luck.
